Fort Wayne, Ind. – The following events are happening at the Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory in April:

Visit with the Easter Bunny

April 13, 12 - 4 p.m.

Botanical Conservatory, 1100 S. Calhoun St.

The Easter Bunny will be at the Conservatory to greet children while Mom and Dad take pictures to capture the moment. Explore the Hundred Acre Wood Exhibit before or after your visit with the Easter Bunny. Note: The Easter Bunny will be taking a break from 2:00-2:30pm. During the Easter Bunny’s break, you can enjoy “up-close” magic tricks performed by a local magician. No egg hunt or petting zoo are held this day. Regular admission fees apply. Fort Wayne, Ind. – On Wednesday, March 20, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. the Fort Wayne Police Department will be conducting large scale training in various areas of Kreager Park. Due to this training, many areas of the park may be blocked off and restricted to public safety officers only.

Fort Wayne, Ind. – Foster, Shoaff and McMillen Park Golf Courses will open for the season during the week of March 18. Foster is set to open Monday, March 18, Shoaff will open March 19, and McMillen is set to open on March 20.

City golf courses open at sunrise and close 30 minutes prior to sunset, weather permitting. When inclement weather occurs, courses may close for a short period, or for the day, depending upon the severity of the weather.

“Hundred Acre Wood” Winter Exhibit

Through April 21

This winter, come in from the cold to discover the enchanting world of Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends. Visitors will find Eeyore, Rabbit, Piglet and Pooh Bear have made their homes quite comfortably in the Botanical Conservatory’s Showcase Garden. Relive or be introduced to the imaginative stories of A.A. Milne from his books Winnie-the-Pooh and The House at Pooh Corner in our version of the Hundred Acre Wood. But watch out for Heffalumps! Hands-on learning stations in the Discovery Gallery help visitors explore how this literature connects to everyday life. Sponsored by Fun 101.7 and Majic 95.1 FM.
