Fort Wayne, Ind. – The following events and programs are happening the week ahead:
Reminder:
Dog Sweater Day
Saturday, February 18, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Promenade Park, 202 West Superior Street
All fashion-conscious pet lovers are invited to ‘unleash’ their fur-pal’s sense of style at an informal meet-up celebrating four-legged wintertime fashion. If Sparky loves to sport a cable knit sweater or has a killer canine overcoat, come show it off! There’s no need to preregister. Just meet up in the Auer Lawn to sniff out some new friends and have a doggone good time. Photos will be taken in the bandshell for the “Cutest Dog Contest.” Winners will be determined by the most ‘likes’ on the Riverfront Fort Wayne Facebook page. NOTE: The event area is not enclosed, so please plan to keep all dogs leashed and pick up after as needed.

A free skate day is planned for everyone on Sunday, Feb. 19, from 12:00-6:00 p.m. at the Headwaters Park Ice Skating Rink, thanks to a donation by Marcia Crawford and Grant Crawford. Both admission and skate rental fees will be waived for guests of all ages on Feb.19, from 12:00-6:00 p.m.
