Fort Wayne, Ind –  Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation will host three open houses next week for the public to learn about a 10-year Comprehensive Planning project. There will be six stations where residents can provide input and interact with staff. These stations will ask questions about facilities, big ideas for parks, equity and more. The outcome of the plan will direct the park system planning for the next 10 years and will guide the parks department mission and goals to provide leisure opportunities and stewardship of our parks.

Fort Wayne, Ind. – Riverfront Fort Wayne presents the following events and programs in April:

Be Your Own Artist: Hoop it Up

Sunday, May 7, 1:00-4:00 p.m.

Park Foundation Pavilion, 2020 West Superior Street

For hula-hoops, one size does not fit all, so here’s a chance to make your own. All materials will be provided for this class; tubing, wrapping colors and sound effects—to create your own custom hula hoop. Linda Duesler (aka Linda Hooper) is a local realtor who loves to hoop it up in the park. She taught her self how to make hoops that are larger and heavier than those sold in stores for kids. This class is designed for ages 13 and above. Please call 260-427-6000 to register.
