“Under the Big Top” Winter Showcase Exhibit

January 8-April 17, Public hours

Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory, 1100 South Calhoun Street

Come one, come all to the greatest circus Garden in town! The “Under the Big Top” exhibit continues at the Botanical Conservatory. Marvel at exotic topiary animals and astonishing plant oddities. This winter, everyone is invited to go to the circus and “clown around” under the Conservatory’s Botanical Big Top. Learn more at botanicalconservatory.org. City Golf Courses to Open March 16

Offering Membership Packages, Instruction, Tournament and Group Outings

 

Fort Wayne, Ind – Foster, Shoaff and McMillen Park Golf Courses will open for the season at noon on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. After opening day, the first start time will be 9:00 a.m. at least until the end of the month. All of the courses will start out as walking only. Opening for the driving ranges will be a day-to-day decision.

City golf courses begin operations at sunrise and close 30 minutes prior to sunset, weather permitting. When inclement weather occurs, courses may close for a short period, or for the day, depending on the severity of the weather. To check on course availability or to schedule tee times call the golf course clubhouse where you plan to play.

Yoga on the Riverfront

Free yoga on the Riverfront continues this spring on the second Sunday of the month inside the Park Foundation Pavilion overlooking the St. Marys River. This relaxing, one-hour flow is for all skill levels, led by instructor Chelsea Vona, owner of Discover Yoga. Yoga mats can be provided if needed.

Sweetheart Orchid Display

February 8 to March 13, Public hours

A tasteful display of orchids in bloom creates a delightfully intimate space in the Botanical Conservatory’s Tropical Garden. Find yourself in a fanciful backdrop of Cattleyas, fragrant Dendrobiums, dainty Oncidiums and moth-like Phalaenopsis. It’s just the place for a date and an ideal photo opportunity with your sweetheart! Orchids and other memorable plants will be available for purchase in the Conservatory Shop. This display is included with regular Conservatory admission.
